Q What should you look for when choosing a Bridal shop?
A. Experience and longevity in the area is one of the most important factors to take into consideration when choosing a bridal shop. A privately owned "mom & pop" bridal shop can give you more of a personal touch in working with you every step of the way in your countdown to your wedding day. We at Kathy's Bridal strive to work with the bride and her wedding party to make this one of the most fun and informative experiences possible. Our staff is ready and willing to answer any question you may have, no matter how small.
Q. Why are Bridal Appointments necessary?
A. Bridal Appointments are necessary so that we can plan our time with you and better serve your individual fashion needs. You tell us the styles and designs you are interested in seeing and our experienced Bridal Consultants will be able to show you a complete selection of our gowns for you to try on in our relaxed surroundings. We do recommend checking out www.the knot.com and Bridal Magazines to see the latest styles and to have an idea of the type of gown you are looking for. Choosing a Wedding Gown is a very important experience and we strive to make it as relaxing and enjoyable as we possibly can.
Q. How can I prepare for my Bridal Appointment?
A. Bring with you the persons in your life, whose opinions you value the most: for example, your mother, Maid of honor, sister or best friend. Don't bring too many people as too many opinions tend to overwhelm a bride and you may forget your original style desires. Also please do not wear perfume, heavy makeup or bright lipstick as we strive to keep our samples as fresh as possible. Just be prepared to have a fun, informative experience. Our appointments last anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 hours. We at Kathy's Bridal love children but we feel that a bridal shop is not a fun place for a child and they tend to get bored easily. We like to think of this as the bride's special time and we want to focus all our attention on her so we respectfully suggest that you make arrangements for infants and small children to be cared for while you attend your bridal appointment. Remember a Relaxed Bride is a Happy Bride and that is our goal. This is your special time.
Q. Why are no bridal photographs allowed?
A. Our Bridal Companies have very strict Copyright rules and unfortunately we must adhere to them. This a rule that is new to us also but our Designer Representatives tell us it is an important one that must be followed. Photographs are only allowed after you purchase your dress because in fact you are then photographing your own property.
Q. How do I chose a style if the girls in my Bridal party are different sizes?
A. Most Bridesmaids Companies carry styles that will look beautiful and attractive on every girl in your party. Be sure to talk with each girl about what design she will feel comfortable wearing before you shop and together you can find a style that incorporates your vision and also meets everyone's needs.
Q. What method of payment do you accept?
A. Cash, personal checks and all major credit cards are accepted as payment.
Q. How much of a deposit is required to place an order?
A. Half of the purchase price is required for us to place the order.
Q. Does your store offer alterations?
A. Yes, our store is affiliated with an experienced, independent seamstress who comes to our shop and fits you on site. You can also take your dress to your own seamstress if you prefer.
Q. What is expected of me at my first fitting?
A. First of all, bring the shoes you will be wearing and the proper undergarments needed. Bra Cups, strapless bras, slimming undergarments and bridal slips are available at an additional fee. If you must cancel your fitting appointment, please allow 24 hours notice. A no-show without canceling can result in our inability to reschedule you at a future date.

A. The answer is "Customer Service, Customer Service and More Customer Service". We are authorized dealers therefore allowing us the ability to speak directly with the manufacturers regarding quality control, availability and deadline issues. We are, in fact, your personal liasons and our goal is to make you the bride happy and worry free. You can rest assured that the gown you order is the gown you receive. Unlike when you order over the internet, we steam your gown and supply a bridal garment bag at no extra charge. Remember the old adage " You get what you pay for" surely applies here. Our goal is to make you a Picture perfect vision as you walk down the aisle to meet your groom on your wedding day.
